The miraDry procedure uses non-invasive technology that is TGA cleared and clinically proven to dramatically reduce underarm sweat AND odour in a single treatment with long lasting results.
Vamp Cosmetic Clinic are proud to be the only certified miraDry clinic outside of Sydney.
The miraDry System delivers precisely controlled thermal (heat) energy to the region where the underarm sweat and odour glands reside, and eliminates these glands non-invasively. As the sweat and odour glands do not regenerate after treatment, the results are lasting, and you can expect to see sweat reduction immediately with minimal downtime. Clinical studies show an average of 82% sweat reduction after a single treatment.
Your procedure will take 60 – 75 minutes but expect to be in the clinic for up to 2 hours. Saline injections and local anesthesia are administered to the underarms prior to the treatment for patient comfort. We use circular multi needles (5 needles at a time) to reduce the discomfort of the injections. Once the anaesthetic takes effect the procedure is very comfortable.
You will be tender for up to a week after the procedure (clients describe it as feeling like they are sun burned) The discomfort will start to improve after 1-2 days. AppIying ice to the treated area and, if you’re permitted to take medications, paracetamol or oral anti inflammatories can be used to relieve discomfort.
The saline solution injected into the armpits will migrate before being absorbed by the body. This takes about 1 week. It can migrate to the chest or upper arms and you may notice some swelling in these areas as a result of this process
You can expect to see up to 70% reduction in underarm hair growth.
You may be ‘bone dry’ in the treated area for up to 2 weeks. This is not a true result. You can expect up to 82% reduction in sweating in the treated area.
Currently, only the underarms have been TGA cleared. We expect other areas of the body to be cleared for treatment in the next 12 months or so. We’ll keep you posted.
$2400 is the cost of the treatment. Only one treatment is needed in 90% of cases. In approximately 10% of cases, a second treatment may be needed at a cost of $1900.
